This module forms the foundation of the program, introducing a carefully selected range of photographers, artists, methods, and ideas that have shaped photographic practice. Through studying methods, aesthetics, and historical perspectives, participants build a deeper understanding of the medium, while reflecting on their practice and beginning to see their work with fresh eyes.
-
Building on the perspectives introduced in the first term, participants explore their individual interests through sustained project work, experimentation, and critical discussion. Through feedback and reflection, they strengthen their visual language, refine their artistic identity and develop a clearer, conscious direction for their creative practice.
-
Having a strong grasp in photographic practices and their own work, during the third term, participants will once again broaden their understanding and skills, by integrating more tools and skills to enhance their work. Specifically, the module will cover photo related media such as: Video Art, Film, Composite Imagery, Language and Image, Book Arts & New Media.

Thanks for all your work & all the best with your new groups endeavours ! See you on our regular Thursday class.” - Mariela
I have been blessed to know Kostas for over 10 years and to have been in his company as he has played diverse roles, namely street and nature photographer, explorer of consciousness, teacher of photography/visual arts and the history of the medium, and trustworthy friend.
Recommending Kostas as a teacher and guide is very easy. He is a lively communicator, open-minded and agile, a sensitive critic of the art of others, be they great or becoming, and an adept at creating space through skillful questioning. Storytelling and mythmaking reveal further nuances. Altogether, a rewarding and expanding experience of going beyond the current paradigm, that is truly life-enhancing. Kostas has charted his own way to being a very embodied artist, who can awaken in others self-awareness and that spark of uniqueness that is the Soul in expression.
